Antique appraisal

MONMOUTH — The Monmouth Museum will host an antique appraisal day from noon to 5 p.m. Friday Oct. 23, at the Monmouth Museum grounds, 751 Main St.

Appraisals will be done on a first come, first served basis. The event will be held rain or shine. There is an inside, heated area for people to register in the
Monmouth Museum Country Store, which will open at 11 a.m.

The suggested donation fee is $10 each item and $25 for three items. All
funds raised will benefit the Monmouth Museum.

Cribbage results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Oct. 15 were: first, Cecile LeBlond and Monique Nadeau; second, Claire Jean and Val Asselin; third, Hope Hughes and Roger Briggs; fourth, Bert Belanger and Roger Labbe; fifth, Irene Beauchesne and Anita Cusson.

Bridge play

LEWISTON —
The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Oct. 19 were as follows: first, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; third/fourth tie, Nancy Lindgren and Rosemarie Goodwin with Cynthia Bonsey and Sue Kaluzynski.

Senior citizens lunch

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet on Monday, Nov. 2,
at the Multi-Purpose Center. A hot turkey lunch will be served at noon.
Tickets may be purchased in the Lewiston Senior Citizens office for $3
each. Reservations for the lunch must be made by Thursday, Oct. 22.

Raffle

LISBON FALLS — The seventh grade staff and students at Philip W.
Sugg Middle
School are conducting a raffle for 100 gallons of oil
or K-1 fuel, benefiting the seventh grade trip to Camp Kieve in March.
All seventh
grade students at PWS attend Camp Kieve and participate in a leadership
and a positive decision making program. Raffle tickets are on sale and
are one for $1 or six for $5. Tickets are available through
seventh grade students, at PWS sports events,
parent conferences and during the seventh grade spaghetti dinner to be
held on
Friday, Nov. 13.

The drawing will be held at the

Swingin’ Bears

SOUTH PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club
will have their Fall Fling Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the
Oxford Hills Middle School. The dance will feature Lee Kennedy calling mainstream and plus
for the square dancing and Carol Stewart cuing the round dancing.  Refreshments will
be offered at intermission. Admission is $6 each person. Nondancers
are invited to watch at no charge.

Benefit supper

AUBURN — A benefit spaghetti supper for the Chizmar family will be
held from
4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Holy Cross Church. Trinity
Catholic parent Mark Chizmar was badly injured in a
construction accident and will be unable to work for several months.
The supper is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and tickets are
$6 for adults and $3 for children.
