SALEM – Senior midfielder Alex Crossman notched a hat trick as Mt. Abram sailed to an 8-0 shutout victory over Mountain Valley in an MVC boys’ soccer game.

Senior striker Dimitri Popovic put the Roadrunners (6-1-1) up 2-0 only two minutes and 20 seconds into the contest.

Gino Salgado made five saves for the Falcons (3-4), while Sam Simpson only had to deflect a pair to collect the win.

Wiscasset 1, Monmouth 0

MONMOUTH – Nick McLeod moved the ball up the right side, got within 18 yards of the net and fired a shot inside the far post with 11:34 remaining in the first half to give Wiscasset a 1-0 victory over Monmouth.

Mason Brewer turned back four shots in net for the Redskins (5-2). Wiscasset outshot the Mustangs (4-3) 41-4, but an impressive 34 saves by sophomore Seth Musich kept the contest close.

Edward Little 1, Cony 1

AUGUSTA – The Edward Little and Cony boys’ squads scrambled up and down the field Tuesday, coming away with a 1-1 tie in a hotly-contested KVAC matchup.

Steven Giorgetti converted a pass from Brandon Lever to give the Red Eddies (5-1-2) their goal, while Colin McKee scored for the Rams (3-4-1) with an assist from Dustin Dang.

Josh Mains made one save in net for Edward Little, while the brother act of Calvin and Jacob Forbes combined to make 15 saves for Cony.

Oak Hill 2, Belfast 1

BELFAST – Brian Soucy worked the ball just inside the 18-yard line and fired a hard, low shot into the net with 6:40 remaining in the first half to lift Oak Hill to a 2-1 victory over Belfast.

Zach Linette put the Raiders (4-3-1) up by one early in the contest with an assist from Adam Soucy. Jack Davis answered for Belfast (0-9) shortly after to make it a 1-1 game.

Mike Rawstron made three saves for Oak Hill to notch the win, while Eric Gaulin turned back 15 shots in net for Belfast.

Lisbon 8, Hall-Dale 1

LISBON – George Clement scored three goals as Lisbon peppered the Hall-Dale net with six goals in the first half, allowing the Greyhounds to race off with an 8-1 victory.

Lisbon (7-1) built a 6-0 lead in the first half and added another two in the second. Marcus and Cam Bubar, Kyle Houston, Erik Metzger and Tyler Dupal each scored a goal for the Greyhounds.

Lewiston 1, Oxf. Hills 0

SOUTH PARIS – Senior forward J.J. Musse scored the game’s lone goal midway through the second half to lift Lewiston to a 1-0 triumph over Oxford Hills.

With 30 minutes remaining in regulation, sophomore Shobow Saban received the ball at the left flank of midfield, did a left-foot shift and swung the ball between two defenders. Musse picked up the relay and fired a fast skipping shot into the left corner of the cage.

Ron St. John made 17 saves for the Vikings, while Chris Jacques prevented seven for the Blue Devils.

Mt. Blue 8, Skowhegan 0

FARMINGTON – Senior forward Ben Russell recorded a pair of goals and three assists to lead Mt. Blue to an 8-0 rout over Skowhegan.

The Cougars (5-3-1) controlled the tempo with a team effort that included well executed passing. Senior center-midfielder Zac Conlogue added a pair of goals and an assist.

Robert Adams made 16 saves in net for the Indians (0-8), while Devin Zamboni turned away five shots for Mt. Blue.
