MADISON – Lisbon dominated the game with 277 yards of rushing offense to roll to a 26-0 victory over Madison.
Following a scoreless first quarter, Scott Eck raced in from 6 yards for a 6-0 advantage. The lead grew to 12-0 before halftime on Josh Cote’s 4-yard burst.
Jake Cyr extended Lisbon’s lead to 19-0 in the third quarter when he scored on an 8-yard run. Toby Harrington broke free for the final touchdown from 45 yards.
Winthrop 43, Yarmouth 13
YARMOUTH – Jordan Conant threw for two scores, and Joe Morey scored a pair of touchdowns, including one on a fumble recovery, to lead Winthrop to a 43-13 triumph over Yarmouth.
Andrew Smithgall and Jason Raymond were on the receiving end of Conant’s two touchdown passes. Zach Farrington returned a punt for a touchdown.
Morey and Skyler Whaley added touchdowns on the groung for the Ramblers (2-0).
Brewer 36, Oxford Hills 0
BREWER – Oxford Hills’ scoreless streak in the Pine Tree Conference extended to six quarters Friday night, with Brewer shutting out the Vikings, 36-0.
Brewer (1-1) won for the first time since rejoining the Eastern Class A ranks. The Witches were 0-8 last season. They won the Class B state championship in 2005.
The latest PTC school to adopt the double-wing offense, Brewer rolled up over 400 yards total offense while limiting Oxford Hills (0-2) under the century mark. Billy Bissell’s touchdown run was the first of two in the second quarter for Brewer, which increased an 8-0 lead to 22-0 at the break.
Bissell finished with 157 yards on 14 carries, Sean Murphy added a apir of touchdowns , while rushing seven times for 80 yards. Pat McEwen added 150 yards on 10 carries.
