LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation Department’s doubles and mixed doubles tennis league is set to kick off this Sunday, June 22, with mixed doubles.

This is a seven week league with playoffs a possibility, providing there are enough teams to make two divisions in each class.

Each week on Monday, starting June 23, the Men’s “C” division will begin at 5:30 p.m., while the Men’s “B” division will play at 7 p.m. On Wednesday’s, starting June 25, the Women’s “C” division will play at 5:30 p.m., while the Women’s “B” division will start at 7:00.

Thursday’s will see competition in the Women’s “A” division, with teams in the Men’s “A” division on court at 7 p.m. Sunday’s will be for Mixed Doubles, with “B” and “C” playing at 4:30 p.m. and the “A” division at 6:00.

Fee to participate is $40 per person for Lewiston residents and $50 for non-residents. Sign-ups must be made at the Recreation Department between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.
