BRUNSWICK – Cece Kilmar and Eliza Hanwell netted three goals each as Brunswick earned the Eastern Class A girls’ lacrosse championship with a 12-2 rout over Oxford Hills Wednesday.
Ann Holmblad chipped in for the Dragons with two goals, while Aby Weeks, Leila Mills, Sarah Croston and Maggie Caputo also tallied to complete the scoring. Steph Fishe made 12 saves to notch the win.
Heather Knights tallied both goals for the Vikings (9-5), who made it deeper into the tournament than ever before this year. Mariah Kimball turned aside four shots between the posts for Oxford Hills.
After getting punished 10-1 in the first frame, Oxford Hills went into a defensive mode and held the Dragons to two goals in the second.
