The Maineiacs’ power forward found his scoring touch this week with four goals and an assist, to go with a few fights. If Paquette keeps playing like this, his draft stock is sure to go up this June. He already has a shot to hit 30 goals this season, and the potential to reach 40 or 50 goals next season.
2. Lucas Labelle, F
He found a spark while playing against his old team, the Drummondville Voltigeurs. His two goals and two assists that night, coupled with a bunch of great chances Friday against Saint John were easily his best efforts of the season, and gives the team a credible threat beyond the top line.
3. Alexander Beaton, F
Fans have been waiting for Beaton to break out of his shell this season, and this might have been the week for it. He missed a couplf of great chances Friday, but his main job in the future will be to be an assist-man, and he was a machine in that vein on Wednesday with three helpers.
