TABOR is back again.

The impact of passing Question 4 would be even worse this time. The math formula in TABOR will be set to a low recession level. School budgets have already been cut by millions and even more cuts are on the way.

Passage of TABOR would cause a major decrease in school funding, resulting in layoffs of school personnel, plus it would cut programs.

Maine’s future development is dependent upon a well-educated workforce. TABOR’s passage would force major cuts in undergraduate funding, the Maine university systems and community colleges.

People must not be fooled by the wolf in sheep’s clothing. TABOR removes the public’s choice and changes state funding to a math formula.

I urge the public to join me in voting “no” on Question 4. Let’s keep local control and keep representative democracy strong.
