AUBURN — The 077th Composite Squadron recently held promotions for two of their cadets. Captain Ray Hanson, commander of the 077th Composite Squadron presented Cadet Austin Alameder with his Airman 1st class pin and congratulated him for completing the Major General Henry “Hap” Arnold Award.

Staff Sargent Amanda Christakis was promoted to Tech Sargent and has completed her General Eddie Rickenbacker Award. Christakis is the first to be promoted to Tech Sargent in the Squadron in the last few years.

Some of the 077th cadets attended the Northeastern Encampment at Otis Air National Guard Base, Cape Cod, with cadets from Squadrons throughout Maine and New England. Some of the areas taught to the cadets were safety, uniforms and appearance, moral leadership, drill and ceremonies, customs and courtesies, cadet honor code, proper reporting procedures, and barracks procedures. They also rode in the Black Hawk helicopters.
