AUGUSTA – Mike Eaton tossed a four-hitter and struck out seven batters Sunday to lead unbeaten Monmouth to a 12-0 victory over Augusta in Zone II action.
Monmouth (11-0) broke a 2-0 game open with seven runs in the fourth inning. Josh Jillson had a two-run double during the uprising, while Chris Ellis added an RBI singler and David Ricker an RBI double.
Jillson finished with three hits. Tavis Hasenfus added two hits, including a double.
