Waiting game

Brady Quinn had to wait more than three hours after the Oakland Raiders made the first pick of the NFL Draft on Saturday before getting picked by the Cleveland Browns. I think it was a set-up by the NFL to see if No. 1 pick JaMarcus Russell could show his new Raider colors by getting arrested or caught smoking pot. That way the Raiders could have traded up to get the actual best quarterback in the draft.

Not any average Joe

Rumors are flying that George Steinbrenner is close to firing long-time manager Joe Torre because of the Yankees slow start. I have an idea for Torre: quit and join the Red Sox coaching staff. That would be sticking it to the man.
