BOSTON, Mass. – The undefeated University of Maine skated to a 2-2 overtime tie with Boston University in men’s ice hockey action Saturday evening.

The Black Bears (7-0-1) struck first by clawing out a pair of goals in the first period. Keenan Hopson scored just 1:36 into the contest, while Josh Soares converted a power play opportunity five minutes later.

The Terriers (2-1-3) responded with a pair of power play goals in the second period. Matt Gilroy cut the deficit in half, while Kevin Schaeffer scored the equalizer at the 14:21 mark.

Goalie Ben Bishop made 29 saves for the Black Bears, while John Curry turned away 22 for the Terriers.
