BUCKFIELD – Chris Barnaby netted a pair of goals to lead Buckfield to a 3-1 victory over Waynflete in EMC action.

Andrew Litchfield tallied for the Bucks (4-9) with nine minutes left to complete the scoring. Nathan Corson made 17 saves in net.

Tristan Corriveau scored the lone goal for Waynflete (1-8), while Chris Gillespie turned aside nine shots.

Dirigo 3, Mountain Valley 1

DIXFIELD – Dirigo rallied for three second-half goals to defeat rival Mountain Valley 3-1 Wendesday afternoon.

Tyler Gates, Larry Briggs and Eric Boulduc found the back of the net for the Cougars. Curtis Boulduc scored the lone Mountain Valley goal.

NYA 7, Poland 1

POLAND – Alex Preston and Dinch Kelesoglu netted two goals apiece to lead NYA to a 7-1 victory over Poland in WMC boy’s soccer action Wednesday.

Thiwat Banak, Kevin Catir and Eric Moodie also tallied for the Panthers. Alex Pilitsis made eight saves in net.

Richard Griffith scored the lone goal for the Knights (1-11), while Evan Gurshick turned aside seven shots in net.

Telstar 5, Lisbon 3

LISBON – Louis Thornton and Max Meader each scored a pair of goals to lead unbeaten Telstar to a 5-3 MVC victory over Lisbon.

Matt Zinchuk also tallied for the Rebels (11-0-1) to complete the scoring. Kevin Gallagher registered eight saves to notch the win.

The Greyhounds (3-7-2) received goals from Cam Bubar, Dillon Ward and Zack Moan. Mike Call handled netkeeping duties, turning aside 17 shots.

Mt. Abram 6, Monmouth 1

MONMOUTH – Six different players scored as Mt. Abram dusted off Monmouth with a 6-1 victory in MVC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

The Roadrunners (9-2-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half with goals by Alex Cossman and Ronal Cabe. Cossman’s tally was a deflection on a through ball that he sent into the side mesh from 22 yards out for the eventual game-winner.

Goalie Wyatt Johnson made eight saves for the Mustangs (3-4-2), while Dylan Reny earned the win with 15 stops.

Hebron 9, CVA 0

CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Oleksandr Romanenko netted four goals Wednesday to lead Hebron to a 9-0 rout over Carrabassett Valley.

Costa Tsitouras, Cameron Gosney, Matt St. Pierre, Josh Taylor and Will Sorkin also tallied for Hebron (2-2-2). Dima Naida made two saves to preserve the shutout.

Ryder Hochman handled netkeeping duties for CVA (4-2), turning aside 22 shots.

Winthrop 2, Livermore Falls 1

LIVERMORE FALLS – Dave Zimmerman fired a shot into the net from 18 yards out with just over 35 minutes left to lift Winthrop to a 2-1 victory over Livermore Falls.

Zimmerman tallied both of the Ramblers (5-4-2) goals, while Mike Gingras made 12 saves in net to record the win.

The Andies’ (5-4-2) lone goal was scored by Zack Keene in the second half. Marcus Ryder turned aside six shots in net.
