BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College women’s basketball team had five players in double digits Thursday and cruised to a 87-57 victory over Colby-Sawyer. The win was their 57th straight in Morrell Gymnasium.

Eileen Flaherty led the charge for Bowdoin (6-1) with 17 points, while Julia Loonin and Lauren Withey chipped in with 11 apiece. Marisa Berne and Jill Anelauskas added 10 points each in a well-balanced offensive attack.

The Polar Bears led by 20 points at halftime thanks to a 26-point run.

Kristen Sorensen led Colby-Sawyer with a 11-point performance, while Stacey Hildreth tallied nine and Lauren Vassallo added eight.
