Hamden, CONN. – The University of Maine field hockey team fell to Quinnipiac 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday afternoon in Hamden, Connecticut.

Quinnipiac (8-5) opened the scoring when Cheryl Torino scored her first goal of the season on a shot from the top of the circle at 22:02. Katy LePage tied the game for Maine (8-5) when she beat Bobcat goalie Erin McKay with a deflection off a shot at 45:08.

The game remained tied until Jaime Cassesse beat Maine goalie Maygan Casserino with a shot from the left side of the circle at 80:26.
