PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Two athletes with local ties are among six named Tuesday to the Plymouth State College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Two-time New England wrestling champion Brian Borkowski of Sabattus headlines the Class of 2005. Also being inducted is Tony Guarino, a one-time football coach at Lisbon High School.

Borkowski, who graduated in 1999, earned All-America honors his senior year when he reached the finals of the NCAA championships. He suffered his only loss in the final to finish the season with a 33-1 mark.

He was 33-4 as a junior, with a team-high 13 pins. Borkowski was 98-24 during his four-year career.

Guarino, a former basketball coach of the year in New Hampshire and Vermont, coached football at Lisbon from 1968-70.
