AUBURN – Justin Ciszekski broke a 1-1 tie in the third with a two-run homer and finished with three RBIs to lead New Auburn to a 5-2 victory over Mechanic Falls in American Legion baseball on Thursday.

Brady Blackman went the distance, giving up eight hits along with two walks and striking out eight for New Auburn (7-1).

For Mechanic Falls (2-4), David Lutz went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in the third which scored pitcher Joe Douglas. Tyler Merchant also had two hits for Mechanic Falls.

Andy Valley 10, Gayton 0

TURNER – Mike Chamard hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth that forced the 10-run rule as Andy Valley defeated Gayton 10-0 in American Legion baseball action on Thursday.

Andy Valley’s Dustin Gilbert pitched a complete game, striking out six to pick up the win. Brandon Smith belted a two-run homer in the third for Andy Valley (6-3) while Chris Brewer went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Bessey Motors 8, Cole Farms 3

SOUTH PARIS – Chris Henderson went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead Bessey Motors to an 8-3 victory over Cole Farms on Thursday.

Ryan Yates had two hits including a triple for Bessey Motors (4-2).

Starting pitcher Chris Jennings went the distance to pick up the win. Cole Farms’ (2-7) Ryan Welch had two hits, including a double.

Monmouth 14, Lincoln County 5

MONMOUTH – Sean Holbrook went 2-for-3 with three RBIs as Monmouth (9-0) remained undefeated with a 14-5 victory over Lincoln County in American Legion baseball action on Thursday.

Mark Wade smacked a base-clearing double in the fifth for Monmouth. Shane Kibler also had two hits for Monmouth. Lincoln’s Chris Moran hit an RBI double in the second inning, which scored catcher Craig Rego.
