LISBON – Sophomore forward Andy Shorey led the way with 17 points as Mountain Valley rolled to a 76-37 win over Lisbon in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.
The undefeated Falcons (12-0) received offensive scoring efforts from Jarod Oldham (12 points), Korey Stairs (11) and Marcus Palmer (10).
The Greyhounds (5-6) managed to play even in the 13-13 fourth quarter. Senior forward Chris Kates recorded five field goals for 10 points in the losing effort.
Hall-Dale 68, Monmouth 31
MONMOUTH – Ben Laflin drained a game-high 23 points to lead Hall-Dale to a 68-31 victory over Monmouth in a boys’ basketball game Friday.
Matt Wheelock also added 16 points for the Bulldogs (10-1).
Hall-Dale had it wrapped up at halftime thanks to its defense, holding Monmouth to just seven points.
Camden Hills 99, Oak Hill 46
WALES – Jamey Davis led a well balanced scoring attack with 20 points as Camden Hills placed all 13 players in the score book while handing Oak Hill a 99-46 setback in KVAC action Friday.
Will Horn chipped in with 14 points, including three 3-pointers as the Windjammers (13-0) remained perfect on the season.
The Raiders (1-11) were led by Mike Eaton with a team-high 19 points.
Telstar 71, Carrabec 60
BETHEL – Junior guard Sean Caddigan scored an impressive 33 points to lift Telstar to a 71-60 win over Carrabec in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.
The Rebels (9-4) spotted Carrabec three points in the first quarter, but bounced back with a 24-11 run in the second to lead 43-33 at the half.
Senior August Reiss contributed 11 points, and senior Kevin Zinchuk hauled down 12 rebounds for Telstar.
Senior forward Tim Therian led the Cobras (1-10) with a double-double, including 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Brandon Couttes and Travis Yahn notched 16 and 10 points, respectively.
Madison 59, Dirigo 56
DIXFIELD – Ryan Pinkham tallied a game-high 18 points to lead Madison to a 59-56 victory over Dirigo in boys’ basketball on Friday.
Juda Norris drained 14 points with two 3-pointers while Brain Mann scored 12 for the Bulldogs 6-6.
Sophomores Spencer Berry and Mike Holmquist scored 12 points apiece for Dirigo (4-8).
G-NG 57, Yarmouth 48
GRAY – John Edmiston drained 14 points to lead Gray-New Gloucester to its initial win of the season as the Patriots downed WMC foe Yarmouth 57-48 on Friday.
Tyler Blanchard added 12 points while Chris Bennett chipped in with 11 points while pulling down 12 rebounds.
The Clippers (4-7) were led by Chase Oliver with a game-high 17 points.
Lewiston 65, Waterville 51
WATERVILLE – Senior captain David Labonte notched a game-high 29 points to lift Lewiston to a 65-51 victory over Waterville in KVAC boys’ basketball action Friday.
The Blue Devils (6-3) were trailing 40-39 after three quarters, but Labonte scored nine points to motivate a 26-11 blitzkrieg to pull out the win. Junior center Joseph Stachowiak contributed 10 points.
The Panthers (4-5) were led by senior forward Brian Tormallon, who recorded 13 points.
