FARMINGTON – Gessy LePage and Marissa O’Neil both tallied goals to give Bowdoin a 2-0 victory over the University of Maine at Farmington in late-season collegiate field hockey action Tuesday.

Kate Leonard needed only four saves in net to preserve the shutout.

Ashleigh Biette handled netkeeping duties for UMF, turning away nine shots on the day.

UMass-Boston 2, St. Joe’s 0

BOSTON — Guilherme Goncalves and David Lococo scored a goal apiece to lead the University of Massachusetts at Boston to a 2-0 victory over St. Joseph’s College in men’s soccer action on Tuesday.

The UMass (5-7-1) effort was anchored by an eight-save shutout performance by junior goalkeeper Roger Lau.

St. Joe’s (5-9-1) goalkeeper Brian White turned away eight of 10 shots.

Gordon 3, UNE 0

BIDDEFORD — Gordon got a goal and an assist from Aaron Calderwood as it defeated the University of New England 3-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference men’s soccer play Tuesday.

Chris Neffinger and Shane Mueller scored a second-half goal each for the Fighting Scots (10-5) to help secure the victory.

Goalkeeper Steven Bishop was solid for UNE (2-8-3), notching four saves in the contest.
