FARMINGTON – Erin Campbell scored a goal in each half to give the University of Maine Farmington a 2-1 win over Swathmore College Wednesday.

Jodie Welch and Molly Hagstrom had the assists on the UMF goals.

Bates 2, Swarthmore 1

LEWISTON — Ian Livengood scored his seventh goal of the season with less than five minutes left to play to lift Bates to a 2-1 win over Swarthmore in men’s soccer action Wednesday.

Terence O’Connell gave Bates (7-2-0) the 1-0 lead going into the second half when he netted a goal with just a second remaining in the first half.

Andrew Terker tied the game with less than six minutes remaining in regulation when he scored the lone goal of the game for Swarthmore (8-4-1).

UMF 4, UNE 2

BIDDEFORD – Becky Christiansen had two goals, and the University of Maine at Farmington notched the final three goals of the match on its way to a 4-2 victory over the University of New England.

With her team trailing 2-1, Christiansen tallied her first goal 4:02 before the half. Kristy Veazie caged the eventual game-winner three minutes later to put the Beavers ahead 3-2.

Bowdoin 5, Bates 0

BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin College field hockey team scored three goals in the first nine minutes of the contest in a 5-0 blanking of Bates on Wednesday evening.

Colleen McDonald got things started for the Polar Bears by finishing off a scramble in front of the net at 5:08 of the first frame. One and a half minutes later, Taryn King played a ball to the middle of the circle, where Christi Gannon rapped a one-timer past Bates netminder Sarah Judice for a 2-0 Bowdoin edge.
