BETHEL – Casey Fleet pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout to carry Telstar to a 10-0 victory over Georges Valley in a baseball game Thursday.
Kurt Wight smacked a two-run double in the fourth inning and finished the game with two doubles and three RBIs for the Rebels (10-4).
Telstar’s Josh Longway, August Reiss and Terry Collins each had two hits.
Lisbon 4, Winthrop 2
WINTHROP – Chris Kates stroked a two-run single with two outs and the bases loaded in the ninth inning to lift Lisbon to a 4-2 victory over Winthrop in a regular-season finale.
The Greyhounds (10-5) loaded the bases on two walks and a single by Greg Roy before the Ramblers forced a runner at the plate for the second out.
Kates responded with a sharp single up the middle to plate the winning runs.
Lisbon took a 2-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Jason Hayes and Aaron Farmer’s RBI single. Winthrop tied it with two runs in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly by Chip Brochu.
Winning pitcher John Tefft pitched all nine innings, surrendering six hits and striking out six.
Livermore Falls 5, Hall-Dale 4
LIVERMORE FALLS – Mike Chamard had two hits and an RBI double to lead Livermore Falls to a 5-4 win against Hall-Dale.
Brad Bryant also had two hits and a run scored for the Andies (9-7). Hall-Dale’s (9-7) Derek Bell had two hits and scored two runs.
Oak Hill 4, Maranacook 1
READFIELD – After surviving a rough start by throwing out three runners at the plate in the first couple of innings Thursday, Oak Hill fought back behind the clutch relief pitching and hitting of Brian Bisson to edge Maranacook 4-1.
The Black Bears took 1-0 lead in the fourth when Ross Bragg led off with a single for Maranacook’s only hit of the game, and scored on Will Purington’s sacrifice fly.
The score remained 1-0 until the sixth. Pat Duchette singled and advanced to third on a double by Jason Guerette. Bisson followed with a two-run single and he eventually scored an insurance run on Kyle Harrington’s hit.
Bisson came on in the third inning and limited Maranacook to one hit.
Jay 10, Mt. Abram 2
SALEM – Jake Turner went the distance, allowing three hits and two runs, and had seven strikeouts to lead Jay to a 10-2 victory over Mt. Abram.
Steve Nelson hit a two-run triple in the fourth and Shawn Jarques hit a double for the Tigers (12-4).
Frank Hayes hit a triple and scored a run for Mt. Abram (9-7).
Monmouth 8, Wiscasset 7
MONMOUTH – Ben Gardner punched out the game-winning RBI on a suicide squeeze, which scored Andy Bellmore in the bottom of the seventh to give Monmouth an 8-7 victory over Wiscasset.
Bellmore knocked in Shane Kibler for the tying run in the seventh.
Ben Matzell and Ben Emery each hit solo home runs for Wiscasset. Sean Holbrook homered for Monmouth (11-5).
