WINSLOW – Rick Leavitt scattered six hits to register his sixth win of the season as Oak Hill handed KVAC rival Winslow an 11-1 setback in baseball action Friday afternoon.
Pat Duchette drilled a two-out single in the top of the first inning, advanced on a single by Jason Guerette and raced home with second run of the inning for all the run support Leavitt would need.
Mike Eaton (four singles) and Adam Shaffstall (three singles) were repeat hitters for Oak Hill (11-1).
Matt McLean was the only repeat hitter for Winslow (10-2).
Leavitt 6, Morse 3
TURNER – Tony Pirruocclelo had three hits and an RBI as Leavitt defeated Morse 6-3.
Chad Schrepper had two hits, a double and an RBI for the Hornets (7-7). Adam Sawyer went the distance, striking out five to earn his second win of the season.
Richie Tardiff knocked in Greg Hendrikson in the fourth for Morse (3-11).
Livermore Falls 12, Carrabec 0
LIVERMORE FALLS – Brad Bryant pitched a one-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in five innings as Livermore Falls defeated Carrabec 12-0.
Livermore Falls’ Mike Chamard belted a two-run homer for his fifth of the season. Bryant also drilled a two-run shot for the Andies (6-5). Dean Hartford had the only hit for Carrabec (1-8).
Oxford Hills 3, Cony 2
AUGUSTA – Chris Henderson was hit by a pitch stole second and scored on an RBI single by Steve Cummings (2 singles) to give Oxford Hills a lead they would not relinquish in their 3-2 win over KVAC rival Cony Friday.
Cummings added the insurance run scoring on a passed ball to account for the final margin for the Vikings (12-2).
Joe Baker register the complete game win striking out four.
Zac Jacques spun a gem for the Rams (11-3) strnking out 14.
Jay 13, Georges Valley 2
JAY – Joel Ouellette stroked four hits, including a double, and Shawn Jacques added two singles to lead Jay to a 13-2 triumph over Georges Valley in MVC baseball action Friday.
Ryan DiPompo surrendered two runs in five innings before giving way to Zach Charles in the sixth inning to record the win for the Tigers (9-2).
Thomas Maloney suffered the loss.
Monmouth 9, Mtn. Valley 4
MONMOUTH – Scott Ogden and Andy Bellmore each blasted two-run home runs in the bottom of the second inning to power Monmouth to a 9-4 win over previously unbeaten Mountain Valley in MVC baseball Friday.
Mark Wade went the distance, striking out four while allowing six hits to register the win for the Mustangs (7-5).
The Falcons (7-1) were led by Travis Child with a pair of singles.
Waterville 10, Edward Little 5
AUBURN – Waterville exploded for five runs in the top of the third inning and put the game out of reach in the fourth adding five more runs to hand Edward Little a decisive 10-5 setback in KVAC baseball action Friday afternoon.
Jeremy Lockhart picked up the win with relief help from Conor McCarthy for the Panthers (5-9).
Matt Nadeau took the loss with Brandon Elie working in relief.
David Roberge had a pair of doubles and a single to pace the Eddies (5-9) attack.
Mt. Abram 10, Wiscasset 0
SALEM – Brandon Wheeler threw a complete game shutout allowing two hits as Mt. Abram cruised to a 10-0 win over Wiscasset in baseball action Friday.
James Beedy supplied the lumber with a double and single to pace the six hit attack for the Roadrunners.
Ben Matzell suffered the loss for Wiscasset.
