Erica Dorso whacks a two-run homer and goes 3-for-4 at the plate for St. Dom’s.

AUBURN – Erica Dorso went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run to propel St. Dom’s to an 11-5 win over Old Orchard in softball action Thursday.

Emily Goss went the distance, striking out 12 and had no walks to improve to (2-0). Dorso also had three RBIs and three runs scored for St. Doms (5-1).

Katie Cyr was the starting pitcher for Old Orchard (3-4), striking out four batters..

Richmond 19, Rangeley 6

RANGELEY – Kelly Gray smacked a double and Tracy Leonard punched out a homer as Richmond (4-1) erupted with 12 runs in the seventh to cruise to a 19-6 victory over Rangeley in softball action Thursday.

For the Lakers (1-2), Justin Frost-Kolva tripled and losing pitcher Kate Jamison doubled.

Livermore Falls 8, Dirigo 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Marjorie Debrosky went 4-for-4 with two triples and two RBIs to carry Livermore Falls to an 8-0 victory over Dirigo in softball Thursday.

Cassandra Purrington pitched a complete-game shutout and struck out six for the Andies (4-4).

Megan Russell had two hits for Dirigo (0-9).

Livermore Falls’ Danielle Gray had two hits, a double and three RBIs.

Maranacook 5, Oak Hill 1

WALES – Abby Pullen pitched a one-hitter as Maranacook pulled out a 5-1 win over Oak Hill in softball action Thursday.

The Black Bears (6-2) did most of their damage in the third inning when Jordan Pruett and Hannah Kenny roped a double apiece and Kristi Viollette legged out a triple for four runs.

Ashley Malinowski, who had notched her first home run one game earlier, performed well in the catcher’s position for the Raiders (6-2).

Winthrop 9, Wiscasset 7

WINTHROP – Nic Emery hit a two-run double to tie the game at 7 in the bottom of the sixth and then scored the game-winning run on an error as Winthrop defeated Wiscasset 9-7 Thursday.

Emery hit two doubles for Winthrop (2-4). Wiscasset (1-3) pitcher Shenna Pinkham had two hits.

Telstar 5, Jay 2

BETHEL – Jillian Kimball went the distance, striking out eight batters, as Telstar remained unbeaten with a 5-2 victory over Jay Thursday. It was Jay’s first loss of the season.

Telstar’s (6-0) Liz Rosenberg scored two runs, doubled and had two hits. Pitcher Bree Loon had two hits for Jay (6-1).

Medomak Valley 1, EL 0

WALDOBORO – Amanda Baker knocked home Ann Ludwig for the game-winning run as Medomak Valley defeated Edward Little 1-0 Thursday.

Ann Ludwig pitched a complete-game shutout for the Panthers (7-2). Brttany Short was the starting pitcher for the Red Eddies (3-7).
