BANGOR – Brunswick’s Ralph Mims and Erika Stupinski of Mt. Ararat are Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball.

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches announced the winners at the 2004 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Basketball Games banquet Friday night at Husson College. The awards are presented annually to the top male and female basketball players in the state.

Corey Tielinen of Oxford Hills and Rocco Toppi of Portland were the other finalists for Mr. Basketball. Kara Borelli of Westbrook and Greely’s Abby Marstaller were the other Miss Basketball finalists.

All-Star weekend concludes today with four basketball games at Husson College. The action tips off with the Eastern Class C and D girls facing the Western C and D girls at 10 a.m. That game will be followed by the C/D boys’ game at 11:25 a.m., the A/B girls’ game at 12:50 p.m. and the A/B boys’ game at 2:15 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased at the door for $5. Net proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
