Lawrence 65, Edward Little 49

AUBURN – Nate Lambert drained 21 points Tuesday night to power Lawrence to a 65-49 victory over Edward Little in a KVAC basketball matchup. Jake Gregory and Trevor Woods chipped in for the Bulldogs (3-1) with 12 points apiece.

Kenny Poulin led the Red Eddies (0-4) scoring effort with a game-high 26 points, while Ryan Ford tallied 18. Both pulled down 10 rebounds in the losing effort.

Mountain Valley 71, Wiscasset 55

WISCASSET – Marcus Palmer netted 14 points to propel Mountain Valley to a 71-55 romp over Wiscasset in boys basketball action Tuesday evening. Byron Glaus chipped in for the Falcons (6-0) with 11 points, while Travis Fergola posted 11 and brother Zack added 10.

Conrad Griffin led the scoring effort for the Redskins (4-2) with 19 points, the only Wiscasset player to reach double digits. The Falcons held a 31-20 advantage at halftime and continued to pull away steadily in the third quarter.

Hockey

Lewiston 3, Skowhegan 0

WINSLOW – Adam Longchamps nets two goals as the Lewiston Blue Devils shutout the Skowhegan Indians 3-0 in KVAC ice hockey action on Tuesday night. Longchamps score the first goal on a pass from Adam Wilding at the 2:48 mark of the third period.

Jason Dube scored the second goal and it was Longchamps with the third on a pass from Jake Girardin.

Edward Little 9, Mt. Ararat 0

BRUNSWICK – Matt Couturier and Kyle Smith scored two goals apiece as Edward Little scored five times on 12 power plays to rout Mt. Ararat, 9-0, in KVAC ice hockey action Tuesday night.

Colby Gilbert added a goal and a pair of assists and Kevin Pontbriand netted a goal and an assist for the Eddies (5-0). Smith also had two assists.

B.J. Levasseur and Kris Bennett combined in net for the shutout.
