Locals Will Underkuffler, Brady Chapman and Matt Lowell each shoot 71.

VASSALBORO – St. Dominic Regional High School finished second to Dexter for the second straight year Saturday in the Maine Schoolboy Golf Team Championships at Natanis Golf Course.

Bangor walked away with a four-stroke victory over Thornton for the Class A title, while Cape Elizabeth outdistanced Falmouth by six shots for the Class B crown.

The Saints accumulated 338 strokes, nine behind Dexter. Ian Pullen led St. Dom’s with a 78.

Mike Guerin shot 82, Dan Bouttenot and Johnny Emerson carded 89s, and Jimmy Mayo chalked up a 90.

Will Underkuffler of Mt. Blue, Brady Chapman of Telstar and Matt Lowell of Buckfield shared the low round of the day. Each shot 71.

Lewiston tied Westbrook for fourth in the Class A competition.

Jake Girardin and Danny Cloutier both crafted a 77 to pace the Blue Devils. Bryce Bryant (79), James Morin (82) and Chris Boucher (85) rounded out the group.

Also in Class A, Mt. Blue shared sixth with Brewer. Joining Underkuffler were Buzzy Cyr (80), Seth Vining (81) and Brian Wells (85).

Winthrop placed ninth in Class B. Matt McCarthy topped the Ramblers with a 77. Chip Burnham (84), Chris Cottrell (90), Matt Carter (93) and Joe Burnham (99) also competed.

Chapman boosted Telstar to fifth in the Class C sweepstakes. Errol Andrews shot 98, while Josh McDonnell and Ben Shimamura were at 102.

Lowell and David Busch (79) directed Buckfield to an eighth-place finish.

Adam Stevens (108) and Dylan Hall (119) completed the Bucks’ brigade.
