WINTHROP – Laura Ravis scored on a scramble in front of the net with 9:32 left in regulation to lift Winthrop to a 1-0 win over Lisbon in MVC girls’ soccer action Wednesday.

Katie Brooks needed two saves to register the win for the Ramblers (8-2).

Wiscasset 3, Mt. Abram 1

SALEM – Colby Graffam tallied a pair of goals to lead Wiscasset to a 3-1 win over Mt. Abram in girls’ soccer Wednesday afternoon.

Lindsay Leone chipped in with a goal and an assist for the Redskin (9-0-1) win.

The Roadrunners (5-5) were paced by Lindsay Perlson with an unassisted goal.

Georges Valley 9, Monmouth 2

MONMOUTH – Loralia Franklin scored four goals and Elena Bertocci had two for the Buccaneers as they dismantled the Mustangs 9-2 in girls’ soccer Wednesday. Rachel Strong had a goal and two assists and Brooke Payne scored a goal and earned an assist for the Bucs.

Kelsey Condon and Bianca Cloutier had two goals for the Mustangs.

Rangeley 2, Buckfield 0

RANGELEY – Sarah Scrader and Sarah Simonds each netted a goal to lead Rangeley to a 2-0 win over Buckfield in EWC soccer action Wednesday.

Schrader’s pass came off a throw-in from Ashley Morton, while Simonds’ goal was from a converted pass from Abby Madeira for the Lakers (6-1-1) win.

Maranacook 4, MCI 1

PITTSFIELD – Jackie Mrazik notched three goals to lead Maranacook to a 4-1 triumph over MCI in KVAC soccer action Wednesday. Toby Martin chipped in with a goal, while Ali Trafton was credited with an assist and a strong game at midfield for the Black Bears’ (7-2) win.

Field hockey

Dirigo 3, Georges Valley 2

DIXFIELD – Sheena Hamner paced Dirigo with a goal and two assists as the Cougars snuck past Georges Valley 3-2 in field hockey action Wednesday.

Sarah Oakes and Amanda Kimball each notched a goal for the Cougar (1-8-1) win.

Cony 3, EL 0

AUGUSTA – Andrea Tyler, Devon Gaslyn, and Ali Reitcher each scored a goal as Cony defeated Edward Little 3-0 in KVAC field hockey action.

Gaslyn’s goal came off a penalty stroke after EL’s keeper Katie Ouellette covered the ball.

Gaslyn was also credited with two assists for the Rams (7-2).

Lisbon 2, Boothbay 2

BOOTHBAY – Emily Poliquin and Brittany Doughty each scored a first-half goal for Lisbon as the Greyhounds battled to a 2-2 tie with Boothbay in a double-overtime girls’ soccer game Wednesday afternoon.

The Seahawks’ (5-5) goals came from Sunny Hartley and Nicolle WIlliams in the second half.
