Peter Poor and Kurt Whight put Telstar over the top with their goals.

BETHEL – Telstar’s Peter Poor and Kurt Whight scored goals in the first half, directing the Rebels to a 2-0 victory over Dirigo in a Mountain Valley Conference boys’ soccer game Wednesday afternoon.

Simon Dumont and Ross Parker also pitched in an assist each for the Rebels. Dirigo Goalie Trevis Knapp had 24 saves for the Cougars.

Mt. Ararat 1, EL 0

TOPSHAM – Kyle LeDuc drilled a penalty kick from the 12-yard line to lift Mt. Ararat to a 1-0 win over Edward Little in KVAC soccer action Wednesday afternoon.

Ryan Vermette made nine saves for the Eagles (5-1-1) to record the shutout.

B.J. Levesseur had six saves for the Red Eddies (2-5).

Buckfield 3, GPC 0

PORTLAND – Tyler Campbell paced Buckfield with two goals to lead Buckfield to a 3-0 win over Greater Portland Christian Academy in EWC soccer action Wednesday.

Mark Smith netted a goal and recorded an assist for the Bucks’ (4-3) win.

Scott Wilson and Chris Reuter each claimed an assist for the win.

Justin Dodge made 11 saves for the shutout, while Kevin Schooley stopped 18 shots for Greater Portland Christian (1-4-1).

Lewiston 1, Morse 0

LEWISTON – Adam Wilding converted a pass from Dan Laroche from midfield in the box to nail the far corner and lift Lewiston to a 1-0 win over Morse in KVAC soccer action Wednesday.

Eric Grenier was solid in net, stopping a breakaway and three point-blank shots to make eight saves for the Blue Devils (3-1-2).

Kevin Hutchinson stopped 19 shots for the Shipbuilders (1-5).

Mountain Valley 2, Jay 0

JAY – In a quick-paced contest, Seth Gallant and Josh Burke each notched a goal a piece to lead Mountain Valley to a 2-0 win over Jay Wednesday afternoon.

Jeff Fuller and Bryan Glaus were credited with the Falcons’ assists. Corey Wilson made only three saves to record the shutout, while Tigers’ keeper Shane Bourgault stopped eight shots.

Monmouth 2, Carrabec 1

NORTH ANSON – Mark Wade notched two goals, including the game-winner with 31 minutes remaining, to lift Monmouth to a 2-1 win over Carrabec in boys’ soccer action Wednesday.

Don Cretian scored the lone goal for the Carrabec (3-3).

Kyle Pelletier made four saves for the Mustangs’ (5-2) win, while John Cretian stopped 10 shots for the Cobras.
