GORHAM — Sarah Rose Hunnewell 31, formerly of Durham, now of Gorham, died unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday, Dec. 15. She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 9, 1986, a daughter of Patrick and April (Rock) Hunnewell. She was educated in the Durham area and graduated from Brunswick High School Class of 2004. She was a CNA and loved helping people who needed her services.

Sarah was a loving and caring person and always put others first. She had a huge heart and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved photography and was always ready with her camera to snap that perfect shot. She also enjoyed road trips to the ocean with her love of her life, Brian, especially to Kettle Cove and Cape Elizabeth. Her family was her life and she loved spending as much time as she could with them and her cat Rudy.

She is survived by her father Patrick Hunnewell of Durham; her two brothers, Charles and Douglas Hunnewell of Durham; her longtime companion Brian Sturgis of Gorham; her paternal grandmother, Cynthia Hunnewell of Durham; her aunt Darlene and her companion, Brian Sabine, of Durham; her uncle, Curt Hunnewell and his wife, Leslie, of Colorado; and cousins Aida and Paxton Hunnewell of Colorado. She was predeceased by her mother, April, in 2016, and her grandfather, Franklin Hunnewell.
