This is not so much a letter to the editor as it is an observation. I am writing about TABOR and the ads running on TV.

I was reading a column in the Colorado Springs Gazette. The first couple of lines read, “Apparently, Colorado is a Third World dive — a place of suffering, poverty, illness and illiteracy. That’s the tone of the message a handful of Colorado politicians have delivered in Maine, where voters will decide in November whether to adopt a Taxpayers Bill of Rights citizen initiative.

When it comes to any political ad, people should never believe anything it claims. They need to check the facts before deciding. That applies to both sides of any issue.

By the way, I support TABOR. I hope everyone does, too.
