LEWISTON — Jennifer N. Ferguson, a partner at the Lewiston law firm of Fales and Fales, P.A., 192 Lisbon St., Lewiston, recently participated in a rule of law exchange program in Russia as part of an American delegation. The delegation of three judges and two lawyers from Maine and New Hampshire traveled to Archangelsk, Russia, to participate in Russian-American seminars sponsored by the United States Agency on International Development.
Ferguson spoke to Russian judges and court administrators on the subject of judicial ethics. The four-day seminar took place Sept. 15-18.
Ferguson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Maine School of Law. She currently serves on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court’s Committee on Judicial Responsibility and Disability. She is a former member of the Maine Supreme Court’s Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence and served as its chairperson from 1999 until 2005.
She is a member of the American Association of Justice, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the Androscoggin County Bar Association, and the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Her areas of practice include personal injury law, family law, probate and criminal defense. She has worked at Fales & Fales, P.A., since 1989.
