NORWAY — Birdie Googins, also known as “The Marden’s Lady,” is bringing her one-woman show back home to Norway at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov.  7 at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.

Last year, her sold-out show delighted the audience with hilarious tales of her life as the daughter of the church minister.

Martha Lello, a.k.a. Karmo Sanders, Birdie Googins, and the Marden’s lady, is no stranger to Norway. She was raised in the parsonage of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C., Norway and graduated from Oxford Hills High School. For most of her life, she has been working in the theater as an actress, writer and comedian, earning a Master’s Degree from Boston University as a playwright.

As Birdie returns “home” on Saturday,  the members and friends of the Second Congregational Church are looking forward to her laugh-out-loud show. Audience members may meet Birdie and get her autograph at a reception following the show. Light refreshments will be served.
Tickets are on sale in the church office and at Books-N-Things, Main Street, Norway. Some tickets may also be available at the door. Tickets are $10. The church sanctuary has open seating and is limited to 200. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  The church youth group will provide childcare during the show and for 30 minutes prior to and for 15 minutes after the show.
