NORWAY — The Western Foothills Land Trust is asking for volunteers to help with trail trimming, stone wall repair and minor trail clean up from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15. The rain date will be Sunday, Nov. 22.

Although this summer’s precipitation made for difficult trail construction conditions, Waterford contractor Todd Sawyer was able to complete 8K of the 12K system of non-motorized trails on the Trust’s 161-acre Norway property.

Work goals for the volunteer day will be to trim and clean up the borders of the trails, cut any protruding roots, restack stone wall ends where the trails cross the farm’s old walls and set trail signs. Volunteers should wear boots and work gloves, bring loppers, small limb saws and water.

To sign up to volunteer for either morning or afternoon sessions, e-mail [email protected] or call Lee at 739-2124. The Roberts Farm parking area is located on the east side of Roberts Road.
