Sheldon Hill, 34, of Poland lost steering power in the Ryder rental truck, he was operating for CDS Delivery, as he was driving up Bridge Street in Farmington on Tuesday, Farmington police officer Matthew Brann said. The truck struck the utility pole seen behind it. There was no damage to the pole but Brann estimated at least $6,000 damage to the truck. Sheldon Hill, 34, of Poland lost steering power in the Ryder rental truck he was operating for CDS Delivery as he was driving up Bridge Street in Farmington on Tuesday, Farmington police officer Matthew Brann said. The truck struck the utility pole seen behind it on the road, Brann said. There was no damage to the pole but he estimated at least $6,000 in damage to the truck including right front fender and undercarriage. Farmington firefighters, Phil Allen and Jennings Pinkham are seen cleaning up the fluids and debris from the accident.
