FARMINGTON — At the annual meeting Tuesday afternoon, stockholders of the Farmington Farmers’ Union elected officers and approved a 13 percent trade allowance for 2017.
Elected to three-year terms on the board of directors: Incumbents Russell Black of Wilton, Charles Ferrand of Norridgewock and Craig Jordan of Farmington. They were unopposed.
Jordan was also elected president of the board for 2018. He replaced David Archer of Chesterville.
Secretary Jeff Wright of Farmington said the trade allowance is historic.
“I went back at least 30 years,” Wright said. “This is the first time for back-to-back, 13 percent trade allowances. It’s awesome.”
The annual meeting was held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 612 Farmington Falls Road.
