ST. LOUIS (AP) – Doug Weight scored two goals to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 5-3 victory over the Dallas Stars on Thursday night.

The Blues are 7-3-1 in last their 11 games and snapped a two-game skid. Dallas has scored just five goals in going 0-2-2 in its last four games.

The Blues went up 1-0 just 66 seconds into the game on defenseman Eric Brewer’s wrist shot, his first goal since Jan. 30. It was the third straight game in which St. Louis has scored on its first shot. Lee Stempniak and Brad Boyes also scored for the Blues.

Mike Modano, Jere Lehtinen and Philippe Boucher scored for Dallas.
