PORTLAND (AP) – Brandon Moss hit two home runs, scored three runs and knocked in three, leading the Portland Sea Dogs to a 12-4 win over the Reading Phillies in the Eastern League Tuesday night.

Portland (57-45) took a 3-0 lead in the second inning as Jeremy West reached on a force out, Chris Durbin singled, then David Bacani’s double scored West and sent Durbin to third.

Durbin and Bacani both scored on shortstop Angel Chavez’ error.

The Sea Dogs added three more in the third when Chad Spann walked, went to third on Luiz Jimenez’ double and both came home on West’s two-base hit.

Bacani then singled in West.

Reading (48-53) got a run in the fifth on Peter Bergeron’s home run, then made it 7-2 in the sixth as Chavez doubled and rode home on Gary Harris’ single.

Portland added two in the sixth and three in the seventh, the Phillies two in the ninth.

Sea Dogs’ starter Devern Hansack (5-4) pitched six innings for the win.
