PORTLAND (AP) – Nathan Barrett and Martin St. Pierre tallied a goal and an assist apiece as the Norfolk Admirals edged the Portland Pirates 4-3 on Friday.

Barrett’s team-leading 24th goal snapped a 3-3 tie at 11:54 of the third period.

After Portland’s Ryan Shannon extended his scoring streak to seven straight games with a goal in the first period, the Admirals (32-21-3-4) took the lead when Colin Fraser hit the net at 11:46 and St. Pierre connected on the power play with 2:21 remaining in the period. Geoff Peters tied it for Portland (37-15-5-3) at 10:57 of the second period, but Carl Corazzini gave the Admirals the lead at 14:59.

Pierre Parenteau tied it again at 1:47 of the third, but Barrett netted the game-winner at 11:54.
