CHICAGO – Derrek Lee hit two homers for the second straight game and the fourth time this season, leading the injury-plagued Chicago Cubs to a 5-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.

Lee, the National League home run leader with 16, slugged a solo shot in the first and added a two-run homer in the Cubs’ four-run sixth.

Aramis Ramirez added a two-run shot off Colorado starter Byung-Hyun Kim (0-4) in the sixth for the Cubs.

Phillies 12, Braves 5

ATLANTA – Jason Michaels homered and drove in a career-high five runs, and Pat Burrell had three RBIs in his return to the Philadelphia lineup as the Phillies extended their day-game success with a 12-5 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Padres 5, Giants 3

SAN FRANCISCO – Phil Nevin hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning, and the San Diego Padres rallied against the Giants’ beleaguered bullpen for a 5-3 victory over San Francisco.

Mets 6, Marlins 1

MIAMI – Mike Piazza had three hits and three RBIs and Kazuhisa Ishii allowed one run in 6 2-3 innings to help the New York Mets defeat Dontrelle Willis and the Florida Marlins 6-1.

Astros 9, Brewers 6

MILWAUKEE – Wandy Rodriguez got his first major league win and the Houston Astros ruined the return of Ben Sheets to the Milwaukee rotation with a 9-6 victory over the Brewers.

Pirates 9, Reds 2

CINCINNATI -Dave Williams allowed only one hit in seven innings and Jason Bay hit a two-run home run in Pittsburgh’s four-run first to lead the Pirates to a 9-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Cardinals 3, Nationals 1

ST. LOUIS – Jeff Suppan allowed four hits in seven dominant innings helping the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Washington Nationals 3-1.
