DIXFIELD — A 38-year-old an employee of the Irving Forest Products sawmill was killed in an accident at about 8:55 a.m. Saturday.
Christoper Pineau of Fayette was performing maintenance on a log-yard crane when he was killed, spokeswoman Mary Keith said. Pineau had been working for the company since 2013.
“We are devastated by this tragic loss of our friend and co-worker,” Jerome Pelletier, vice president of sawmills for Irving Forest Products in Maine, said in a prepared statement. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
