ANAHEIM, Calif. – Sergei Fedorov scored the go-ahead goal with just under nine minutes remaining, leading the Anaheim Mighty Ducks to a 4-3 victory over Chicago on Friday, extending the Blackhawks’ winless streak to 10 games.

Petr Sykora, Joffrey Lupul and Jason Krog also scored to help the Ducks snap a four-game winless streak. Anaheim picked up points in its last 10 games, including four overtime losses.

Chicago lost its fifth straight overall and sixth in a row on the road.

The Blackhawks are 0-9-1 since goaltender Jocelyn Thibault went down with torn cartilage in his right hip.

Sharks 2, Wild 1

ST. PAUL, Minn. – A pair of power play goals lifted the San Jose Sharks to their fourth consecutive win, a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

The Sharks are now unbeaten in their last six (4-0-2) while the Wild have lost four in a row.

The Sharks dominated both ends of the rink in the opening period, out-shooting Minnesota 10-2 and taking a 1-0 lead on a power play goal.

Brad Stuart’s shot from the blue line glanced off Mike Ricci’s skate and past Minnesota goaltender Dwayne Roloson. Ricci was credited with the goal, his fourth of the season.

Flyers 4, Hurricanes 2

PHILADELPHIA – Kim Johnsson assisted on three goals and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2 to extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games.

Jeremy Roenick and Joni Pitkanen scored on power plays for the Flyers and Robert Esche made 29 saves to increase his personal unbeaten streak to eight games.

Carolina goaltender Kevin Weekes made 25 saves after posting back-to-back shutouts his previous two starts.

Canadiens 5, Capitals 3

WASHINGTON – Sheldon Souray had his second two-goal game of the season, and Pierre Dagenais and Michael Ryder scored 61 seconds apart in the first period to lead the Montreal Canadiens past the Washington Capitals 5-3.

Backup goaltender Mathieu Garon had 31 saves for the Canadiens, who took command by connecting on three of their first nine shots against Olaf Kolzig.

Rangers 4, Penguins 1

PITTSBURGH – Martin Rucinsky had two goals and an assist to lead the New York Rangers to a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Rucinsky, who has eight points in his last four games, cut to the net from the left circle and converted Alexei Kovalev’s pass from behind the net to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead at 3:34 of the third period.

Red Wings 6, Islanders 0

DETROIT – Manny Legace stopped 30 shots for his fourth career shutout, and Steve Thomas had two goals and an assist to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 6-0 victory over the New York Islanders.

Lightning 2, Blues 2

TAMPA, Fla. – Eric Nickulas and Keith Tkachuk scored third-period goals helping the St. Louis Blues tie the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-2.

The Blues nearly won it in overtime, but Nikolai Khabibulin made a point-blank save on Petr Cajanek.

The Lightning goalie also stopped a high slot shot by Chris Pronger during a St. Louis power play.

Sabres 4, Panthers 3

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Daniel Briere scored two goals in the third period to help the Buffalo Sabres beat the Florida Panthers 4-3.

Curtis Brown and Taylor Pyatt also scored for Buffalo, which won its second straight game.Stephen Weiss had two goals, and Juraj Kolnik also scored for the Panthers.

Stars 2, Devils 0

DALLAS – Bill Guerin scored a power-play goal in the second period, and Marty Turco stopped 21 shots to help the Dallas Stars snap the New Jersey Devils’ club record-tying 13-game unbeaten streak with a 2-0 victory.

Guerin skated in hard from the left side and beat goaltender Martin Brodeur off Pierre Turgeon’s goal-mouth pass at 10:16.

The Devils, 10-0-3 in their previous 13 games, have had three other 13-game unbeaten streaks in franchise history.
