FOXBORO, Mass. – The New England Patriots added wide receiver Deion Branch to their already lengthy injury report on Friday.
Branch was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with a leg injury, another blow to the team’s battered receiving corps.
This week, the Patriots signed former San Francisco 49er and Jacksonville Jaguar J.J. Stokes and re-signed Dedric Ward, who they had earlier released, to bolster the wide receiver position for Sunday’s game with the Houston Texans.
David Patten is out for the season, and Troy Brown, David Givens and Branch are listed as questionable. Bethel Johnson is the only healthy receiver on the Patriots who was with the team last week and has caught an NFL pass.
Branch played in New England’s 12-0 win over Dallas last Sunday, catching two passes for 69 yards.
He’s caught 31 passes for 496 yards and two touchdowns this season.
