DETROIT – Dominik Hasek made 23 saves for his first shutout since returning from his one-year retirement and Steve Yzerman scored twice as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Dallas Stars 4-0 Friday night.

It was the 62nd shutout of Hasek’s career and Detroit set a franchise record with its 15th consecutive home win. They had 14 straight during the 1964-65 season.

Jason Woolley and Kris Draper got the Red Wings’ other goals and Henrik Zetterberg had two assists for Detroit.

Hasek got a pad on a tip attempt by Don Sweeney after the puck bounced off the post with 9:35 left in the second period and stopped a jam attempt by Bill Guerin from the side of the net and two more Guerin rebounds during a Stars’ power play 30 seconds later.

Wild 4, Panthers 3

SUNRISE, Fla. – Alexandre Daigle scored to cap a three-goal flurry by Minnesota in the second period and Wes Walz added a third-period goal as the Wild beat the Florida Panthers 4-3 Friday night.

Dwayne Roloson stopped 30 shots as the Wild got their first road win in three tries this season.

Minnesota scored three times in a 7:33 span to take a 3-2 lead. Richard Park scored 4:43 in, followed by Antti Laaksonen at 8:18 and Daigle’s power-play backhander.

Walz scored at 12:58 of the third to give the Wild an insurance goal that came in handy when Darcy Hordichuk scored with 1:54 to play.

Devils 2, Penguins 1

PITTSBURGH – Brian Rafalski and Brian Gionta scored their first goals of the season as New Jersey’s top line produced both goals in the Devils’ 2-1 victory Friday night over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mario Lemieux got the 1,698th point of his career by setting up Pittsburgh’s goal and needs two points to become the sixth player in NHL history with 1,700 points.

Scott Gomez’s faceoff win led to New Jersey’s first goal – by Rafalski in the first period – and he also set up Gionta’s game winner at 12:40 of the third.

Blues 2, Flames 1

CALGARY, Alberta – Jeff Heerema scored 46 seconds into the third period and the St. Louis Blues hung on for a 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Friday night.

Doug Weight also scored for St. Louis, which is 4-2-0-1 after playing six of its first seven games on the road.

Flames rookie Matthew Lombardi scored as Calgary lost its second home game in a row.

Chris Osgood made 25 saves for the Blues, including 15 in the third period.

Heerema, a rookie acquired off waivers from Carolina before the season, took a cross-ice pass from Pavol Demitra and one-timed a shot from 30 feet past goaltender Jamie McLennan.

for the game winner.

McLennan, filling in for Roman Turek (sprained knee) finished with 17 saves in his first loss after winning three in a row.

Lombardi tied it 12:39 of the first after the Blues got a power-play goal just 2:47 into the game.

Chris Pronger spotted Weight open at the side of the Flames net. Instead of shooting at the goal, Pronger purposely turned his body and fired a hard shot along the ice at Weight, who neatly steered the puck past McLennan.

St. Louis finished the night 1-for-6 on the power-play. Two of the opportunities came when the Flames were caught with too many men on the ice.

Notes St. Louis defenseman Mike Stuart made his NHL debut, taking the place of Barret Jackman, who injured his shoulder Wednesday night in Vancouver. Jackman is one of six injured Blues defensemen. … The Blues’ Scott Mellanby (ribs) has yet to play this season but is expected back Tuesday night against Nashville. … Calgary center Craig Conroy and right wing Martin Gelinas are pointless through six games.
