Aric Morris is cut to make room for the fullback.
FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots re-signed fullback Fred McCrary on Tuesday and made room for him on the roster by releasing safety Aric Morris.
McCrary, a seven-year veteran, was signed as a free agent by the team in March, but was released Saturday after playing in two of the team’s first three games. Morris was signed by the Patriots as an unrestricted free agent in May and played in all four games this season, primarily on special teams. He had eight tackles and one interception.
