On Wednesday, June 17, a field trip to the Maurer’s bog, a privately owned area in Leeds, will be held. At this site, participants will walk into the bog and explore the birds with Stan and Joan DeOrsey and the unique flora with Stanton Bird Club botanist Susan Hayward. Participants should have appropriate footwear to accommodate ankle deep water. The group will car pool from the Marden’s parking lot, 750 Main St., leaving at 8 a.m. and returning at 11 a.m.

Stanton field trips are free and nonmembers are invited. All experience levels are welcome.
