Officers installed in OES ceremony

AUBURN – A new slate of officers for Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, was installed on March 28 at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

Pamela Toussaint was installed worthy matron and William Stretton, past grand patron, worthy patron. Others installed were Elsie Johnson, associate matron; Stephen Broas, associate patron; Betty Perkins, secretary; Mary Lawlor, treasurer; Vicki Kelley, conductress; Mary Ann Perkins, associate conductress; Harriet Stretton, chaplain; Eleanor Peterson, organist; Sandra Dunlap, Adah; Sharon McGilvery, Ruth; Helena Woodhead, Esther; Harmony Woodhead, Martha; Ellen Broas, Electa; Amanda Carr, warder; and Andy Bradeen, sentinel.

Installing officers were: Gretchen Brissette, General Grand Chapter Committee member, installing matron; Newell Farrington, past grand patron, installing patron; Brenda Hall, Grand Electa, installing marshal; Gwendolyn Mason, installing chaplain; Debra Greim, installing organist; Kathy Williamson Star Point Ceremony; Ann Danforth, Debbie Staples, Sue Staples and Debbie Greim, installing quartet.

Distinguished guests present were Brissette, General Grand Chapter Committee member Visionquest and past grand matron; William H. Stretton, past grand patron; Newell H. Farrington, past grand patron; Stephanie Dupal, associate grand conductress in Maine; Nancy Jackson, associate grand conductress in New Hampshire; Brenda Hall, Grand Electa; Sandra Dunlap, District 4 deputy grand matron.

The following grand representatives brought greetings from their respective jurisdictions: Sharon McGilvery, representative to Ohio; Joan Nickerson, District of Columbia; Vicki Kelley, Michigan; Janice Flowers, Nevada; Jane Reed, Louisiana in New Hampshire; Helen Shelton, Shining Star; and Robert Damon, past grand master of the Grand Lodge in Maine.

Sandra Dunlap introducted District 4 grand officers: Judith Tufts, Grand Martha, and Stephen Broas, Grand Warder.

A luncheon was served in the dining hall after the installation.
