FARMINGTON – The Diabetes Support Group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in the Forster Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

The support group is for anyone who has diabetes or supports an individual who has diabetes. No appointment or registration is required.

The theme of the meeting will be blood glucose monitoring. A sampling of glucose monitoring equipment will be on hand, including the Medtronic continuous glucose monitoring system, a new tool for those with diabetes who have difficulty managing their disease.

Approaches to and goals for monitoring blood sugar will be discussed, as well as the relationship of blood sugar to medications, diet and exercise.
