LIVERMORE FALLS – The Tri-Town Ministerium Food Bank was given monetary donations totaling $427 and 94 pounds of package goods brought about by two local clubs joining forces to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. Each dollar donated represents a value of $12.50 in food available to the food bank.

The annual holiday luncheon at the First Baptist Church was attended by more than 55 members and guests of the Livermore Falls Women’s Club and the Livermore/Livermore Falls Historical Society.

The meal was prepared and served by the American Baptist Women of the Church and the appetizers were served by Lucille Lavoie, co-president of the Livermore Falls Women’s Club. That group also supplied the small breads given as favors, baked by members.

After dinner the groups were entertained with Christmas carols from around the world by Jerol Ellis at the piano. Cards were signed for members living far away, honorary members of the women’s club and members not well enough to attend this year.

The annual event is held to support the food pantry and provide a chance for members to socialize.
