Fortier Chapter

LEWISTON – The Dr. Paul Fortier Chapter 52, Association Canado-Americaine, will gather Monday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Senior Citizens Room of the Multi-Purpose Center. Following the business meeting, there will be refreshments and a social hour.

Food drive

SABATTUS – The town of Sabattus will hold a food drive on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Town Office, 190 Middle Road, to benefit the local food bank.

The town and the General Assistance Department are setting up a special heating fund, “Keeping Your Neighbors Warm,” and will accept donations. They can be sent to the Town of Sabattus, 190 Middle Road, Sabattus ME 04280 (Attn: Judy). All funds will be managed by GA Administrator Judy Fournier.

FACT speaker

LEWISTON – Maine Kids-Kin, a program of Families And Children Together (FACT), will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at d’Youville Pavilion, 102 Campus Ave.

Designed for grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives who are raising a relatives’ child, these meetings give people a chance to connect with other grandfamilies by sharing stories and information, offering support and listening to each other.

Maine Kids-Kin Director Barbara Kates will be on hand to discuss resources and legal issues for grandfamilies.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Oct. 28 were as follows: first, Nancy Lindgren and Pete Cummings; second, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; third/first in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Martine Begert and Fred Letourneau; second in B, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer.

Winners at Schooner Estates in Auburn on Oct. 29 were: first, Paul Barber and Luke Merry; second/first in B, Betty and Doug Sise; third, Jean and Phil Bird; fourth, Les Buzzell and John Hackett.

Games are played at 9 a..m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.
