LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 27 with 32 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed services.
Reported on the sick list were Lois Gordon, Marie Leblanc, Dora Slovak and Norman Duguay. A thank-you note was read from Norman Duguay.
Congratulations were extended to those members celebrating birthdays in October: Athanase Couture, Shirley Couture, Mary Lou Legere, Percy Ouellette, Joyce Richard, Blanche Bilodeau, Diane Getz and Frances Berry.
Lunch of finger foods brought in by the members was served. The 50-50 was won by Jean Luciano and a crocheted doily made by Doris Wilson was won by Cindy Hebert. Alice Demoras won a jar of candy donated by Cindy Hebert by guessing the nearest correct number of pieces in the jar.
Beano will be played Monday, Nov. 3.
The meeting was adjourned and games and cards were played.
