Church breakfast

FARMINGTON – An early-bird breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Academy Street. While downtown Farmington shops open their doors early to kick off the holiday season, members of the church will provide a complete breakfast for $5 adults, $2.50 for children.

The menu will include eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries, egg/sausage casserole, muffins and scones, doughnut holes, juice, tea and coffee. All are welcome.

Calendars ready

JAY – The Jay Fire Department Association will sell calendars during voting hours, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Community Building to benefit the organization’s programs.

The 2009 calendars are on sale for $16 each and feature the fire rescue department’s trucks and firefighters in training among other pictures, Capt. James Butler said.

Christmas trees will go on sale the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 28, at the fire station across from the old town office.

Hunter’s supper

VIENNA – The Vienna Fire Department annual hunter’s supper will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Vienna Community Room.

Holiday fair

RANGELEY – The Episcopal Church Women host a holiday fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the church undercroft.

Homemade crafts, cookies, relishes, baked goods and gifts will be available. Coffee and homemade doughnuts will be served as well as lunch, which will include fish chowder, chicken pot pie, sandwiches, apple crisp and homemade pies.
